FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS THE LOCATION TRAVEL FEES?
Depending exactly where you want your photographs done travel fees will vary. Locations outside of the general city of shooting may result in a travel fee of up to $60. For specific information regarding your shoot, please contact me with location requests.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
If the weather is too bad to shoot/act of god/I am sick/etc, we will put your deposit toward a re-schedule. However, if you simply don’t show up to the session, the deposit will not be refunded and the remainder of the session fee WILL be requested. If you need to re-schedule your session, your deposit can be put toward a re-schedule as long as I am notified within 14 days of your session. Cancellations without re-schedule will not result in a deposit refund.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND TO THE SHOOT?
Up to two other people of your choice may come along to help/cheer! Please note that these guests will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED from taking photos/videos unless given explicit permission from the photographer.
HOW LONG DO YOU STORE OUR IMAGES FOR?
Client files are cleaned out every 3 months and I cannot guarantee that I will backup the images for you, so be sure to download the images and create your own backups. I do not store the raw files for more than 1 month.
WILL YOU RE-TOUCH (PHOTOSHOP) HOW I LOOK?
Yes - basic re-touching in any fully edited photos includes general skin editing, light and color balance, blemish/stain removal & removal of some small background objects/people. PLEASE NOTE - clothing wrinkles and large amounts of hair frizz will not be edited out, so please make sure clothing is wrinkle free and haird is styled.
WHAT IF WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE FINAL IMAGES?
While this has yet to happen, it is important to note that hiring a photographer is equivalent to hiring an artist who is given a certain amount of artistic licence. Clear communication, preparation and inspiration photos will help ensure that I deliver a package that suits your needs! I encourage feedback from clients during the shoot and during the editing process to ensure satisfaction. Unfortunately, no refunds will be given unless there is a breach of contract.
WHAT IF WE DON’T WANT THE IMAGES USED ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA, WEBSITE, OR ANYWHERE ONLINE?
Please make it clear to me in your initial contact email if this is the case and kindly let me know the reason. Marketing and promotion of my business relies on being able to show recent examples of work. If this is something you require, a $200 privacy fee will be added to your package pricing. If you only need photos to remain private for a certain amount of time (until event or website launch etc), a custom privacy fee can be quoted.
CAN WE PICK WHAT IMAGES GO ON YOUR WEBSITE?
No. Any of the files that are delivered to you could be shared online either on my website, Instagram, Facebook, email etc. Please rest assured that all images will be treated as promotional material only and will be presented respectfully.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Client is responsible for their own metro card, uber/lyft ride, gas, parking as well as any other location permits needed for the shoot. Client is also responsible for all belongings while shooting and photographer is NOT responsible for any lost/stolen items or clothing damage during the shoot.
